Hi my friend, I'm not writing this email as I usually do - I feel they sometimes come out a bit technical, but hey, I'm not a copywriter, and just learning stuff as I go. First I'll cover what new I've recorded for you. I’m back today with another short but very effective lesson for you today - the steady paced rhythm and beat of “With or Without You” fit perfectly in the new Fretboard Map demo. You know when you feel proud for making something? That's what I got here. Frankly, it just resonated the right way with me and the whole map idea, and I think that speaks for itself. It's a one minute and 45 seconds video, covering progression and melody - watch it or not, it's out of my hands, but if you do, you get to discover that you can never ever get lost on the fretboard - literally impossible (unless on purpose), and you get to hear the real me - an eternal optimist eager to share this thing with the world - believing it can teach and reach not just you, but millions of others, to speak and express themselves through this instrument, to get them closer to harmony, and for me, the achievement is to leave something worthy behind for the generations. And this map can actually do it. I kid you not. Everything I've ever encountered in my 20+ years playing the guitar fits within this map and owns it's place on it. I know one could say "just play the damn thing and let it be" but it's like a calling deep in me, saying I got to put it out there. To let God help me put it out there. What would you do if you have a gut feeling? I bet you would listen to it. Speaking of listening, here's the link to the new video: So with all this gut feeling, I actually submitted a full non-provisional patent for the WhatTheChord board (or however it will be called eventually), paid $12K in patent attorney fees - you see: my gut was doubtful there, but then I stepped outside my old house and two books in a box on the street titled "I See You", and "You Will Pay" just stared at me - I mean, I can just imagine the content of it :D (btw, I didn't pick them up to read), but the titles were what spoke to me, in such plain sight, like the God/Universe/Divine Intelligence told it himself to me (choose whatever name you prefer for it), and occurrences like these just keep happening. I've been utterly protected and guided by this intelligence for so long, it would be foolish to stop listening now. Always trust your gut and the signals. They also told me to record a course, which I did - just not packaged yet (no rush, since God's been telling me to be patient and sit still, that the timing is everything) and to strip away anything nonessential from the matter, so that the big picture is crystal clear. We'll talk more about this picture in depth in the following lessons, as we continue exploring the map. To wrap up today's lesson: U2's 4-chord loop, classic 1-5-6-4 progression, you'll see how figuring out the fretboard doesn’t get easier than this. Grab that power chord and try it out. Then switch to melody, train your fingers to own these elements. It will be useful in the long run. Click Here to Watch New Video on YouTube Talk soon, Vedran WhatTheChord.com |

I prepared for you a new fresh set of animated videos for your guitar journey, called the Fretboard Map Series. The goal? To make guitar learning as intuitive and easy as possible for you. How? Skip any gatekeeping and show you...

Hey Reader, A new guitar lesson today! 🎸 As I'm sharing it, I just keep humming - "Could You Be Loved".. song by Bob Marley with looping chords + changing scales, and a live interactive fretboard. I used the chords from the chorus to show how a melody or a solo can be developed from a simple idea and I've kept it short, under two minutes. To be clear, this is not a song cover - it's a pattern exploration and how different elements interchange throughout the song. Whether you’re here to try...
