One Chord - Any Song? New Free Fretboard Map Series is Here

Hi my guitar friend,

Long time no see. Life has changed fundamentally for me this year, still bruised up from it but I’m back on the saddle - let’s get playing.

Guitar Saddle

There’s life philosophy in it: step back and see a new perspective. And that’s what my new series is about. I prepared for you a new fresh set of animated videos for your guitar journey, called the Fretboard Map Series.

The goal? To make guitar learning as intuitive and easy as possible for you.

How? Skip any gatekeeping and show you how I navigate the fretboard - just good old first grade level geometry. It keeps you playing in a game-like mode, reading a map, connecting the “dots” and boosting your skills, without getting lost in the details.

The series will cover a few topics - it will teach you how to play any song with only one chord, how one scale pattern unlocks any solo, how to transpose to any key before you can pronounce “transpose”, how to get around modes - all that and more, with only ONE MAP that binds it all together.

Sounds too good to be true? Click the video link below and see it with your own eyes:

This is the general idea:

All we’re doing is zooming out enough to see the big picture, to see where and how the heck are we supposed to move around the neck to solo and immediately find all song chords. The fact is that every element has its fixed place on this map. Each root, each chord, each scale pattern, everything, and we’ll take it step by step.

What’s important that you know - the map doesn’t change.

You heard me right.

It’s been tested over and over, it’s a solid and yet simple structure, and I don’t want to make a big deal out of it - but it just works, and I just want to share it with those who could benefit from it. Many people told me they can’t go past the few open chords on their own, can’t play without tabs, don’t understand the fretboard layout - the truth is, nobody showed them in a clear and understandable way. It's just assumed you'll pick it up somehow!

What you'll see today, AI won’t teach you this, other teachers likely won’t either - not because they don’t want to, it’s just not out there - yet.

So, here we go unlocking what has been hidden on the fretboard this whole time, and I trust that this map is yet to help you and many striving guitarists out there. Not everything fits in one video, but that’s why it’s a series. Watch this first video, I will accept your feedback, good or bad, as I am making it for you after all.

SONG BREKDOWN:

The series starts with a theme of “One Chord - Any Song” to get familiar with it. I take popular songs to demonstrate how the system works. It’s not about songs that I'll use for demos (even though I'll take your song suggestions), it’s about the fretboard perception and your orientation. We start with a hit song that I really like, “Baby, I love your Way”, originally by Peter Frampton, but I like the Big Mountain’s version better. There’s no other way but one step at a time, and each step will reveal this big picture.

Playing first, theory later. It all comes together, as we just - keep playing!

Hey Reader, A new guitar lesson today! 🎸 As I'm sharing it, I just keep humming - "Could You Be Loved".. song by Bob Marley with looping chords + changing scales, and a live interactive fretboard. I used the chords from the chorus to show how a melody or a solo can be developed from a simple idea and I've kept it short, under two minutes. To be clear, this is not a song cover - it's a pattern exploration and how different elements interchange throughout the song. Whether you’re here to try...

Hi Reader! A brand-new guitar arrived the other day in the studio — the Donner HUSH-I Pro (Hawaiian Blue edition) — and today I posted a full unboxing + sound test on YouTube. I was honestly surprised by how good this thing looks in person, and the plugged-in tone is better than I expected for a travel/silent guitar. If you’re curious what comes in the box and how it sounds straight out of the package, check it out here: 👉 Watch the video In the video I go through: 🎁 unboxing 🔧 quality +...
